Our Top 5 Favorite Libraries in Lorain County! 📚 (In alphabetical order because we can’t rate one above the other as they are all so great in their own ways!)
1. Amherst Public Library - Recently renovated with the whole second level designated to the children’s section which is really nice to have a whole separate area. They also do tons of fun events here every month & their story-times are awesome!
2. Avon Public Library (Lorain Public Library System) - This brand new library has only been open about a year and was beautifully constructed in a modern design. The children's area has tons of fun pretend play features like a tractor and little market. There is a wall of windows making it feel very bright, warm, and open! They also offer lots of great story time options at this location.
3. Avon Lake Public Library - If you haven’t checked this place out yet, you’ve got to go! Their Discovery Works area is incredible and basically like a free mini science center! Plus their regular children's area is full of fun features and their story times are one of the best. (See our full blog post about Discovery Works here)
4. Elyria Public Library West River Branch - This is our "home base" library where our library and story time adventures all started! We love coming to their story times or just stopping by to hang out in the fun children's area where they always have educational activities and crafts out to do. 5. Vermilion Ritter Public Library - Their sea-themed children’s area is incredible! They have a beautiful salt water fish tank and my favorite thing about this place is their toddler room for ages 6 and under that’s enclosed so mama can relax a little and not have to keep such a constant close eye on the littles.
