Only feels right that the first library I share about be my childhood library I grew up going to. It actually still looks relatively the same too so it was very nostalgic for me going back with my son. I have many fond memories of my grandma taking my cousins and I to story-times and crafts there just like my son and I do now. ❤️📚

This is the Elyria West Branch Library on West River right next to Texas Roadhouse. It gets a little confusing sometimes because Elyria has so many awesome libraries. Highly recommend following them on Instagram & Facebook (@elyriapubliclibrary) as they post often about upcoming events.

This is one of our top 5 favorite libraries in Lorain County. They have a wonderful, spacious children’s area right on the first floor. You can’t miss the big awesome tree to the right when you walk in. This is the library we visit most often and what I refer to as our “home base” library so I’ll be posting a lot more about them in the future and will just stick to some of our favorites for this post.

🚂 First of all, my son’s absolute favorite “attraction” anywhere we go is always the train set, he’s obsessed. Because of this, I’ve also gotten pretty into building the tracks for him and will say that not all train sets are the same. With that said, this library’s train set has definitely been well loved over the years but still has plenty of train cars and track pieces to customize your course.

🍝🥛 Next, my son is really big on kitchen sets and is just starting to get into imaginary play which has been really fun. The kitchen set here is again, a well-loved, older piece but they have a bunch of great updated play food that my son just loves!

🖍 They usually have a simple and fun seasonal craft at one of the tables to do with your little one. We’ve made so many fun little things to give as gifts to his grandparents.

🚒 They have a couple wooden vehicles on the ends of their children’s bookshelves and my son loves pretending to drive them or just sitting on them while checking out a book.

🧩 Tons of brand new puzzles.

🐢 & we can’t forget Joe the turtle!

We just love it here & know your littles will too! 💕
